The work of improving the inspection of the substation and to minimize human involvement of substation are doing in the world, which is the main object of the power grid. In our country, it is also necessary to automate the substation monitoring and robot use analysis. This research presents modeling and comparison of inspection robot for substation. The research object is selected by "Baruun" substation with 110/10 kV under “National Power Transmission” State Owned Joint Stock Company. In substation model, three type inspection robots are simulated. In addition, the path planning is designed to monitor the entire equipment of the substation. Furthermore, the algorithm is developed to match the range of mechanical structure for inspection robots.
