The Design and Analysis of Lower Power Wireless Sensor Network for Monitoring High Speed Train

Бүтээлийн товч тайлбар: Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have rapidly gained a growing importance in many other research works. IEEE802.15.4 is designed for low rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (LR-WPAN) which allows small, power-efficient, inexpensive solutions to be implemented for wide range of devices. It’s necessary to introduce real time monitoring technology for high speed train to prevent accident according to the increment speed. The purpose of this research is to design the lower power wireless sensor networks for high speed train which is affected by poor communication environment. Here, we propose to design a Zigbee test model for Railroad Sensor Network with/without WiFi. Hybrid model with WiFi provides good results such as high throughput, low end to end delay and jitter using Qualnet 5.0.1. The 802.15.4 standard was introduced by the IEEE after IEEE802.15.1 (bluetooth) and IEEE802.15.3 (high-rate WPAN) standards. ZigBee is a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radios based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs)[3]. ZigBee allows a low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking. These networks provide the automation, remote control, and Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) applications such as healthcare, vehicle monitoring, consumer products, agriculture, home automation and security. The IEEE 802.15.4 standard defines the physical layer (PHY) and Medium Access Control sublayer (MAC) specifications as the wireless communication standard for low-power consumption, Low-Rate WPAN (LR-WPANs). IEEE802.15.4 defines two types of network node: the full-function device (FFD) and reduced function device (RFD).
